There was a time when, for some months, I walked from the Marais up to the Panthéon every day, crossing la Seine and passing by the gardens on the back side of Notre-Dame. This here is one of my favorite spots in Paris. Happy to see the cathedral rescued.

#yearinreview I am bad and rather inconsistent with social postings, so let me do a few updates. This here is from a trip I did through the vastly isolated Namibian desert in March. I was looking for the small ghost town of #Kolmanskop, an old German diamond mining establishment, isolated since the 30s. One of the best trips I have done, not only spurred by the photogenic architectures but also by the adventure of traveling and camping by myself. I have a few more images on my website which should give a better impression.

A few months ago, I spent a day with the fishers of a town called #negombo in Sri Lanka. More of this series can be found at www.marvinamberg.com #throwback

Thank you Bangkok airport for just confiscating my most stunning Bali souvenirs... Being only in transit! Anyone interested in case I order a few custom made ones? (btw, I checked and those are ok to import to Europe of course...)

Incredible way to start the morning: a little 6am pre work boat party with #daybreaker Thank you @brimer

#tbt... very historic week for #cuba with Obama's visit, first in 88 years for a U.S. President. This will be good for the people of Cuba. For me, Cuba has been been one of the most romanticized places on the planet. So let's hope we don't find this treasure of an island and culturally rebellious outpost fall back into the so-typical mid 20th century habit of political obedience and economic dependency.
